“Friends” actress Lisa Kudrow was apparently disturbed by her son’s reaction to her role in the hit NBC sitcom Tuesday, saying that it felt “demeaning.”
The not-so-friendly comment was revealed by Kudrow, 58, during an interview with Seth Meyers on his late-night television show.
According to Kudrow, her son, Julian Murray Stern, was surprised by the humor in it.
“He was impressed. He goes, ‘It’s actually really funny,’” said Kudrow.
But he seemed to be more bowled over by other members of the ensemble cast.
“He said, ‘It’s actually really funny, and I mean, the guys are so funny.’ And he’s like, ‘No, I mean, you’re funny, too.’ And never in my life have I wanted to tell my own kid, like, ‘F–k you!’ ”
Kudrow said that she didn’t actually say the word — but she did think it.
“I mean, listen, it’s not required that you’re a fan. You don’t have to like what I do,” continued “The Comeback” star.
“But don’t be so demeaning! Wow!”
Kudrow also revealed that while her son isn’t a “Friends” superfan, he was at least a fan of her other show “The Comeback,” which he binged while quarantining with COVID-19.

“[He] called me up and said, ‘So, I just watched the first two episodes. It’s really good, Mom.’ I said, ‘Thanks,’ he said, ‘Can I ask you some questions about that?” recounted Kudrow.
“Like, yes! I almost started crying! I didn’t think that anyone in my family liked that show,” she confessed.
